Today, as I walked past Aiyedun, I felt the shock, the agony, the pain, the trembling and the cry of the woman when she lost her husband and only son to the cold hands of death. I felt a lease. Why? Why now? Why the husband and child? That cool man whose face in the photographs portray humility and soft touch, his child who could have been the only comfort for this woman. These "whys" have come again, and as usual, they are unanswered. Who dares look death in the face?

The theft of a soul comes from the enemy of life- death. There are rules that guide life, but no, not death!. Perhaps, we must arise to ensure promulgation and enforcement of rules against death. The thief must steal no more.
When a criminal is caught, he is tried and sentenced by LAW

We have caught death and will try him
It is written, He that kills, Let him die!

LAW has governed life, made ease, curtailed behaviour and sentenced evil. The strongest have died, the cruel in society has been brought down by LAWs that govern our existence. LAW must find a way of killing this one enemy- death.

If Law can kill corruption
If Law can kill evils
Let Law kill death.

Nelson Vincent writes from his hideout where he celebrates the death of death.

This one was actually written by two poets-myself and Orimolade Benvolio, a friend, poet and brother composed this together, actually as a conversation in poetry, myself taking the part of wisdom and himself taking the part of the man-gender unconsidered. It is titled: "Where Wisdom Lies..."I hope you do enjoy it.

Man: I am pregnant with frustration!
Abortion is an offense punishable by death.
Giving birth will have me nurse "frustration" for life!
What will the fool do?
What will a wise man propose?
Let me have the saying of the rich
and the participation of the poor!
Maybe the ladies have a better idea!
Tell Nobody
Tell Nobody; I told you to tell Nobody
Tell no-one

Wisdom:Wisdom has left the wise...
Wisdom has left the aged...
Wisdom which now lies with us says...
Do stand in-between.
Between life and death,
Between happiness and sadness
Between today and tomorrow,
Between birthing frustration and abortion, facing death...
The Spirit whispers: "Kill frustration at birth" for the Iroko's height is determined in the nursery
Man: The taste is better than the smell!
It's the way of life!
There will always be a prey...
Maybe not!
Wise One, how will I live with my conscience of killing?
I hope I know better.
Tell No-one
Tell Nobody
Tell Nobody I told you to tell Nobody
I know you see nothing but hear it all

Wisdom:Man has conscience
A will, so powerful!
Kill frustration without shedding blood!
Yes, without shedding her blood
kill her without a knife, gun or rod
But kill her well enough that she dies
For in her death, you have peace of mind with rest
and clear conscience to be posterity's best

Man: But Wise One,
Amope and Arike were there
When I went to fill my pot with water!
We went to the stream with many legs.
What will I tell dem has become of my water?
What will we celebrate?
The birth or the death?
Let the fool be wise now
since its only foolishness that calls
Let the rich be useless
since there is nothing to buy
Tell No one
Tell Nobody
I told you to tell Nobody
Tell No one
But let them know

Wisdom: What no man should know, everyone knows...
Yes they followed you- Amope, Arike and the many legs..
. But,
Did they fetch you water?
Nooo!
They fetched theirs too.
Consanguinity herself,
requests that siblings mind their businesses.
Leave them all for the morrow!
I say, Leave them all for the morrow

Man:Hmm! ...The spirits whisper!
I see nothing but I hear it all!
May the wisdom of the fool never leave him!
And the foolishness of the Wise stay with them!
I understand but I know nothing...!
Wisdom: Oh yes costly wisdom, the fools have become wise and the wise have become fools. The fools wisdom shall abide with him and the wise' foolishness shall die with him...

Today is The Day I died
Just as every other day is...
I died yesterday, today and the morrow
And every day a heart reads this
 that by dying, I live...
